Some kids may be complaining about being bored as they are stuck at home all day and night, while parents may be struggling to find something for their children to do. Farm In The City (FITC), Selangor
Farm In The City is a new concept farm that combines elements of wildlife and nature in a designed environment of a conservation park. It is designed to rebuild a typical Malaysian village or ‘kampung’ style – making it a great place for both fun and educational purposes!
There are many visitor attractions in the FITC such as the reptiles’ cavern and the pet village. Kids get to have a close-up view of the reptiles, pet and feed the rabbits and guinea pigs with fresh vegetables.

KL Bird Park, Kuala Lumpur
KL Bird Park is home to nearly 3,000 local and foreign birds from around the world. It is located 10 minutes drive time away from the Kuala Lumpur city centre. The park is divided into 4 zones – with Zone 1 & Zone 2 as the free-flight zones; Zone 3 as Hornbill Park and Zone 4 as the mini aviaries. The most exciting feature is that in Zone 1, 2 and 3, birds are free to fly around in the aviary and breed naturally in the environment. Your child will surely enjoy watching the colourful and melodic birds perching and winging everywhere! There is even an Education Station where kids get to watch how chicken and duck eggs are incubated and learn about the life or habits of Malaysian birds.

Orangutan Island, Perak
The largest rehabilitation and conservation facility for orangutans is located at Orangutan Island, which is located in the centre of Bukit Merah. One of the most educational and intriguing things to do will be to take a tour of this amazing jungle, which is the home habitat of the endangered species. The orangutans at Orangutan Island are free to roam around the place while people will pass through a caged tunnel to see the orangutans that are roaming outside – how cool! Children will be having an opportunity to see many orangutans up close and even better, explore the orangutan nursery where you can watch, feed and play with baby orangutans. It is definitely an educational outing that’s family-friendly!

Entopia Butterfly Farm, Pulau Pinang
Know a young nature lover? The Entopia Butterfly Farm at Penang is the best spot for them! It is the biggest butterfly garden in Malaysia with approximately 15,000 magnificent free-flying butterflies and insects.There are two separate sections at the farm: The Natureland and The Cocoon. The Natureland is a living garden vivarium with up to 60 species of butterflies and more than 200 species of plants while the Cocoon is a two-floor indoor discovery centre. There are many learning exhibitions and indoor activities that children can join. Here, your little one can take part in releasing newly-emerged butterflies, joining a fun-filled guided tour and discovering the interesting lives of our amazing animal friends!
